Lady Marcella of Albramere (1734 – 1790)
Along with her sisters, including the Countess of Vienwray, the ‘girls from Albramere’ were well known among the fashionable set and a great source of gossip. Raised in every way to be a coveted show piece for a deserving royal member, Marcella was accomplished in everything from sailing to sewing. She was also a keen collector of men, which included the husbands of her sisters. She reasoned that men were like wardrobes, ‘every season I get a new set’.
